International Conferernce "Digital economy: potentials and challenges"

The International Francophone Institute (IFI) and Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) will organize the international conference “Digital Economy: Potentials and Challenges”, on 23 August in Hanoi. This event is a part of the DAAS (Diderot Advanced Academic Seminars), which is initiated by IFI and sponsored by VNU.

GENERAL INTRODUCTION

The digital economy is a new global concept that emerged at the end of the 20th century and has been developing in Vietnam in recent years. It includes all sectors and economies (industry, agriculture, services; production, distribution, movement of goods, transportation, logistics, finance and banking, ...) to which digital technology is applicable, and will gradually cover all socio-economic aspects. The trend of digitization, transformation and application of digital technology is occurring rapidly and widely in many areas, from trade to transportation, banking, health, education, tourism, entertainment... and has made significant contributions to national economic growth.

The effective evaluation of the digital economy helps identify its strengths, weaknesses, limitations, difficulties, opportunities and challenges, allow us to propose appropriate policies to develop an increasingly fast digital economy. These policies help to promote sustainable economic growth, responding to the process of industrialization and modernization of the country by rapidly developing a smart economy - society.

The international conference entitled "Digital Economy: Potentials and Challenges" aims to:

  • Clarify the concept of digital economy;
  • Assess the effectiveness and positioning of the digital economy, the role of cooperation in the development of the digital economy in the growth of a country;
  • Identify the opportunities and challenges of digital economy development in Vietnam and other countries in the world;
  • Propose policies for rapid and sustainable development, and promote digital economic cooperation;
  • Provide applicable guidelines for training and scientific research brought by the benefits of the digital economy

CALL FOR PAPERS

The Organization Committee cordially invites scientists, researchers, specialists, lecturers… to participate and contribute content for the conference. Quality papers will be posted in the DAAS-2023 Proceedings of Diderot Advanced Academic Seminars (number ISBN and ISSN 2734-9969) and outstanding papers will be published in the Francophonie in Asia-Pacific Science Publication (international ISBN and ISSN 2525-2488).

  • Calculate and determine the value of the digital economy
  • Positioning of economic quantities in the current economy
  • Key trends of the digital economy
  • Relationship between digital economy and knowledge economy
  • The main technologies applied in the digital economy, the role and problem of using these technologies in organizations and enterprises
  • Formulas for transforming business models and management of traditional enterprises in the context of the digital economy
  • Training and developing resources on the digital economy
  • E-commerce at the end of the digital economy
  • Digital communities, digital businesses and the GIG economy
  • Opportunities and tips in developing the digital economy in Vietnam and around the world
  • Current trend of Vietnam's digital economy development
  • Strategies and policies of other countries in the process of digital economy development
  • Actual development of the digital economy in some countries
  • Solutions, legal frameworks and policies to improve the efficiency of management, exploitation, use and promotion of resources of the digital economy.

Deadline for submission of proposals and full text of the paper:

  • Deadline for proposals submission:    10 August 2023
  • Deadline for full text submission:        18 August 2023

Rules for the proposal and the full text of the thesis:

  • Thesis proposal (article title, name of subsection, keywords): no more than 500 words
  • Full text (not including title, summary, and keywords): no more than 5000 words
  • The full text must be composed by .docx format, with no space, follow by author’s name, telephone number, and working agency.
  • Article form: The article is presented with font size 13, single line spacing, uses Times New Roman font. Justify: up 2 cm; down 2 cm; right 2 cm; left 3 cm. All pages, images, tables must be numbered clearly and precisely.
  • Languages: Vietnamese, English, French.
